These Policies & Guidelines explain the rules, expectations, and safeguards that apply to all users of Already Doing It Ltd (“Already Doing It”, “we”, “us”, “our”). They are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and transparent environment for students, parents, and mentors.

These Policies & Guidelines operate alongside and form part of our Safeguarding Policy, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Refund & Cancellation Policy. By using our platform, you agree to comply with all of them.


1. Platform Purpose

Already Doing It is a mentoring platform designed to connect:

  • Prospective students and school-aged users

  • Current university students and recent graduates (“mentors”)

Mentors share personal experiences of studying particular courses or universities to help users make informed decisions. The platform does not provide professional, medical, legal, financial, or admissions advice.


2. Eligibility & Age Rules

Minimum Age
  • Users must be at least 16 years old to book a session.

  • Users under 16 are not permitted to create an account or book sessions.

Users Aged 16–17
  • A parent or legal guardian must be present at the start of every session.

  • Mentors are required to end the session immediately if a parent or guardian is not present at the start.

  • Sessions ended for this reason are not eligible for a refund.

Users must provide accurate age information. Any attempt to misrepresent age may result in suspension or termination of the account.


3. Verification of Identity & Study Status

To ensure safety, eligibility, and safeguarding—particularly where minors are involved—we may require users to complete verification.

What We May Request

Depending on your role and circumstances, we may request:

Identity verification (one of the following):

  • UK driving licence

  • Student ID card

  • Passport or national ID card (only where necessary)

Proof of study or graduation (one of the following):

  • Valid student ID card

  • Enrolment letter or student-status certificate

  • Official degree certificate (for graduates)

How Documents Are Handled
  • Documents are collected solely for verification purposes

  • Documents are handled securely with restricted access

  • Systems handling verification are protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication (2FA)

  • Documents are deleted immediately after verification is complete, usually within 24 hours, and are not retained longer than necessary

We reserve the right to refuse or suspend access where verification cannot be completed satisfactorily.


4. Mentor Profile Standards

Mentors are responsible for ensuring that all information provided on their profile:

  • Is accurate, truthful, and up to date

  • Is a fair and genuine representation of their background and experience

  • Relates only to courses, universities, or experiences they have personally undertaken

Mentor profiles must not:

  • Contain misleading or exaggerated claims

  • Include offensive, sexual, discriminatory, or inappropriate content

  • Imply official affiliation with a university unless explicitly authorised

  • Offer professional, legal, medical, or financial advice

We may review, edit, suspend, or remove mentor profiles that breach these standards or our Terms & Conditions.


5. Conduct & Behaviour Standards

All users must behave respectfully and responsibly.

You must not:

  • Harass, bully, intimidate, or threaten another user

  • Engage in inappropriate or unsafe behaviour

  • Misrepresent your identity, age, or role

  • Attempt to contact users outside the platform without consent

  • Record, screenshot, or share session content without permission

  • Circumvent age verification or safeguarding rules

Mentors must immediately end and report any session where safeguarding rules are breached.


6. Safeguarding

Safeguarding is a core priority of Already Doing It.

  • Mentors are required to report any safeguarding concerns immediately

  • Sessions involving minors must follow parental presence rules strictly

  • Accounts may be suspended or terminated where safeguarding rules are breached

Safeguarding concerns can be reported confidentially to via our safeguarding form. 

Reports are reviewed promptly, and appropriate action may include account suspension or contacting external authorities where required by law.

7. Session Observation for Training and Monitoring

  • Occasionally, a member of the Already Doing It team may join a mentor session for training, quality monitoring, or support purposes.

  • You may not be notified in advance if a team member joins; however, the mentee will always be informed and must agree to the observation beforehand.

  • The purpose of these observations is to help mentors improve their skills and ensure high-quality mentoring experiences.

  • Mentors should continue the session as normal, maintaining professionalism and safeguarding standards.

  • Any feedback provided after the observation is confidential and intended to support your growth as a mentor.

8. Booking, Payments & Refunds

Booking a Session

By booking a session, you acknowledge that:

  • You are reserving mentor availability for a specific time slot

  • Late cancellations or non-attendance result in a loss of that availability

Refund & Cancellation Rules (Summary)

  • Full refunds are available if cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the session

  • You must cancel via your dashboard and email hello@alreadydoingit.co.uk within the required timeframe

  • Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable

  • Sessions terminated due to safeguarding or Terms & Conditions breaches are not refundable

  • Refunds are processed via Stripe and may take up to 10 business days

Sessions booked using discount or promotional codes are subject to the same cancellation rules. Any refund reflects the amount actually paid.

9. Platform Communications

All platform communications, including messages, emails, and session interactions, must be respectful and appropriate.

We reserve the right to monitor platform activity where necessary to:

  • Enforce platform rules

  • Protect users

  • Investigate misconduct or safeguarding concerns


10. Enforcement & Account Action

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse access to the platform

  • Suspend or terminate accounts

  • Cancel sessions

  • Remove content or profiles

Where users breach these Policies & Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions, or applicable law.


11. Relationship to Other Policies

These Policies & Guidelines should be read together with:

In the event of any conflict, the Terms & Conditions take precedence.
