  • Already Doing It allocates £2,000 Social Mobility Grant for West Midlands schools — Summer Term 2026

Already Doing It, the Warwickshire-based peer mentoring platform connecting sixth formers with vetted university students, has announced the allocation of a £2,000 Social Mobility Grant for the Summer Term 2026, supporting fully funded pilot programmes for a small number of West Midlands schools.

What the grant covers

The Social Mobility Grant provides selected schools with a fully funded Already Doing It pilot programme at zero cost. Each funded pilot includes:

  • 10 fully funded 1:1 peer mentoring sessions for Year 12 or 13 students
  • Full safeguarding oversight and session management
  • Pre and post session reflection surveys for each student
  • A complete Impact and Engagement Report formatted for Gatsby Benchmark 2, 3 and 7 evidence
  • Priority targeting of Pupil Premium eligible students where possible

Why Already Doing It created the grant

Dan Muratore, Founder of Already Doing It, said: “The students who benefit most from honest university guidance are often the ones with the least access to it. This grant is about making sure that schools serving disadvantaged communities can offer their students the same quality of pre-university guidance that students from more privileged backgrounds take for granted.”

Who can apply

The grant is open to secondary schools and sixth form colleges in Warwickshire and the West Midlands with a sixth form cohort that includes Pupil Premium eligible students. Places are strictly limited to a small number of schools and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
