Who we are

Already Doing It Ltd runs the sessions that connect you with a Uni Insider, a real university student or recent graduate, for an honest one-to-one conversation. Our full legal Privacy Policy is on this site; this page is the plain version, written for you.

What we collect from you, and why

When you book: your name, email and phone number, so we can arrange your session, plus your age band. If you are 16 or 17 we ask you to confirm a parent or guardian will be there at the start, because that is part of how we keep sessions safe.

Before your session: a short reflection about what you hope to get out of it, and some questions about how you are feeling about your options. Your Uni Insider sees only your first name, your age band and the one line about what you are hoping for. They never see anything else you write.

After your session: a few questions about how it went. Your answers help us prove the sessions work and make them better.

Optional postcode: if you choose to give it, we instantly turn it into a single number from 1 to 5 that describes your area, and the postcode itself is thrown away, never stored.

What your school can add

Your school can record two things about you on our system. First, whether you count as disadvantaged in the records your school already keeps; that is your school's information and your school stays in charge of it, we just hold it for them, and it only ever appears in reports as an anonymous percentage. Second, only if you ticked yes to the outcome question, whether you went on to apply to the university you spoke with, and whether you enrolled.

Who sees what

• Your Uni Insider: first name, age band, your one hopes line. Nothing else.
• Your school: how you are getting on with the programme and, if you consented, your outcome. Your survey answers and opinions only ever reach your school as grouped numbers, never as "what you said".
• Universities: anonymous grouped numbers only, never your name, and never anything based on fewer than 6 students. If you agreed to a quote, it is shared without your name, or with your first name only if you chose that and checked a parent or guardian is happy.
• Anything you type in an open text box is read only by the small ADI team and is never shared with anyone.

Recording and observation

Sessions are never recorded by anyone, including us, and you agree not to record them too. Very occasionally we may ask, before your session, whether someone from the ADI team can quietly join to check quality and keep everyone safe. They say hello at the start, then just watch, and nothing is recorded or written down. You can say no, and saying no changes nothing about your session.

How long we keep things

We keep your name and contact details for 2 years after you last use the service, or longer only if you asked us to stay in touch, and then we delete them. After that, your answers survive only as anonymous numbers that cannot be traced back to you. Your school can see your named record for your school year plus three more years, then it becomes anonymous too.

Your choices

We need your name, email and phone number to arrange and run your session, so those are required. Everything else we ask permission for is separate, none are pre-ticked, and you can say no to any of it and still have your session. You can change your mind at any time. There is a working "delete my data" option: ask and your details are removed, properly, and we have tested it.

Keeping the site safe

Our website uses a Google tool called reCAPTCHA on our forms to stop spam and automated abuse. It works quietly in the background and shares some technical information, like your device and browser details, with Google.
