Meet Our Team

DAN MURATORE

Founder

Dan is a practising optometrist with 14 years of clinical experience, working across high-end practices in the West Midlands. He knew exactly what he was getting into when he chose his career — because his sister was already studying optometry and could give him the honest, unfiltered picture that university open days never would.

That conversation changed everything. And the absence of it, for most students, is what led him to build Already Doing It.

Dan founded ADI on a simple but powerful insight: the most valuable thing a prospective student can have before committing to a course is an honest conversation with someone already living that experience. Not a brochure. Not a ranking. A real person, willing to tell the truth.

He leads the platform’s vision, school and institutional partnerships, and mentor community — and remains as committed to honest guidance today as he was to the conversation that shaped his own future.

MARIA TRUMIC

Operations & Mentor Support

Maria keeps Already Doing It running behind the scenes. Managing the platform’s day-to-day operations, she ensures that everything from mentor onboarding to session logistics runs smoothly.

She also works directly with the mentor community — supporting, troubleshooting, and making sure every mentor has what they need to show up at their best. Her attention to detail and calm operational instinct are what allow the platform to scale without losing the personal touch that makes it work.

ALEX RANCE

Advisory Panel

Alex Rance is a former professional AFL footballer and five-time All-Australian who represented the Richmond Football Club across a distinguished career. Beyond sport, it’s what he’s built since retiring that makes him a natural fit for Already Doing It

In 2016, Alex founded The Academy — an alternative education institution designed to help young people discover their passions and develop life skills outside traditional academic pathways. Having built an educational institution from the ground up, he understands firsthand what it takes to reimagine how young people learn and make decisions about their futures.

More recently, Alex founded Momentality, a leadership and mental performance consultancy working with corporate organisations and professional sports teams — bringing the same principles of clarity, confidence, and decision-making under pressure to a new arena.

Alex joins the Already Doing It advisory panel because he knows that the most important decisions young people make rarely come with enough honest guidance. That’s the gap we exist to close.

HEMA TANK

Advisory Panel

Hema brings over 25 years of senior leadership across UK higher education, having held executive roles at UCL, the London Institute of Banking & Finance, and Global University Systems. As Managing Director at LIBF, she led the institution to TEF Silver status and OfS registration, overseeing multi-campus provision and driving improvements in teaching quality, governance, and student outcomes.

Her career spans curriculum development, widening participation, and institutional strategy across both public and private higher education — giving her a rare whole-system view of how students are served, and where the gaps are. She holds an MBA in Higher Education from UCL’s Institute of Education and professional credentials in coaching and mentoring.

Hema joins Already Doing It’s advisory panel because she believes the gap between school and university isn’t just a policy problem — it’s a conversation problem. And that’s exactly what we’re solving.
